You die and the Animus destroy your grace so you can never get it back again. Or they take away your memories of every single person that you've ever cared about. Or they make you blind, deaf, and dumb, so you can't ever defend yourself again until you go home. Or maybe they'll decide to take away what you really want and remove any chance you had of ever remembering what you learned here, which means everything you're working for will ultimately be useless.

[It's said in a short series of clipped sentences, each sentence punctuated with venom as Rei continues. Death is not a joke here. It is not something to be taken lightly. The price runs far too high to ever think of it as a cushion for being reckless.]

And if you really want to do all of that, to go back to your world, to deal with the consequences of whatever future you're destroying, you need to do a hell of a lot more than manage. You need to rise above it.

I'd start with dealing with your issues and stop with using the Animus and alcohol as a crutch.
