I did nothing to the oven. I have no issues with it.

Regardless, we have very little food that necessitates an oven so it's rarely an issue.

I'll tell Xerxes to send you cookies. If you can't bake, you might as well find someone else who can. [That was his tactic when he'd been human.]

[He's... Not sure why Lucifer is grinning, but Lucifer has a weird sense of humor, so whatever. It doesn't bother him, anyway.]

Are they edible?

[For beings that are currently mortal and kind of have to make sure the things they eat aren't going to be fatal. Though cookies do sound good. He hasn't been passed over by the love of sweet things that runs in their family.]

I eat them. [From time to time. Which is saying a lot.]

In fact, the next time we need to touch base on everything, I'll bring him along. [As a little, spunky servant.]

Are you certain that would be wise?

[He knows Lucifer and Break get along, but he doesn't know exactly how much Break remembers, or if his personality is the same. And even if it is, it's not like Castiel trusts him.]

Simply that it may be a good decision to keep information limited.

[In other words, just because Break is your friend (and Castiel has liked him well enough when he'd been here initially) doesn't mean Castiel wants him knowing All The Things.]

I haven't told him anything, Castiel, come on give me a little credit here! No one but you and Rei knows that I'm going after your Grace. And she only knows because otherwise she might rush in and interfere where she shouldn't.

Going out with Break and having him feed you something cooked isn't the same as inducting him into the family business.

[He's surprised at that, and not entirely certain what to think. But something flashes across his face at the invitation all the same; it's the same look he always gets when someone says something that sounds like he's actually wanted for something.

As independent as Castiel can be, he still has this glaring weakness; a need for attention and approval.]

I feel as though you would both have an unfair advantage.

[Wings, and all that. Though he's already thinking about ways to even the playing field in such a game, which really wouldn't be too complicated with the right sigils.]

You're clever, Castiel. I think you could come up with something. [He means that, too. Even he is impressed by Castiel's knowledge and skills. It would be entertaining and educational to see him learn to use those for something as simple as play.]

[He lights up just a little more at that.]

It would be worth the attempt.
