Hey, Adstringendum. I've got a question.

[Rei is sitting in a chair, in Castiel's impromptu study, with a worn book in her hands. An anthology of ghost stories. And, because of simple curiosity:]

Do you believe in ghosts?

[Scientists? What scientists? Fran is going to handle that part.]

I know what you mean... [She sighs. She just wishes Robin would be here and tell her what to do.] We'll try to act for the best. I'll go with whatever the majority will agree upon. [You heard that well. For once she'll follow the majority.]

Tell me, how is it that you've come to believe in them?

Do they follow you wherever you go? Do they drag you across the ground so everyone looks at you like you're some kind of freak? Do you have to avoid going home at night--even during the day, it doesn't matter!--or being alone?

If you can see them... you should understand.

They can hear you. Right?

Huh. If they ever come back, um...here's hoping they won't have to, I guess I'll have to talk with them more.

But yeah. Generally they have something in life that bothered them, that or something else happened, magical binding, of some sort of a strange death. But Emotions generally translate to power. And its the bad emotions that lead to the strong ghosts. Like desperation, and anger. Though, love I think is the worst. It tends to come out in different ways, and not all of them good.

[... uh.]

The only spirits that have ever attacked me have been here -- and they're given bodies when they're brought here, most of the time. At home, they're friendly... and I've never been dragged around by one. Spirits tend to like me.

[Blink.]

Why do you believe? Have you seen one?

I do.

Why do you want to know?

It is true that we typically do not have bodies in the human sense. We are just condensed spirit particles. This place seems to be peculiar in that respect.

[ She nods, clearly pleased to hear that. Being scared of ghosts is silly to her :| But she can think of one person who probably is. ]

I hope you're keeping those stories away from Usagi-chan. [ And by "keeping away" she means "reading them out loud by flashlight." ]

Right. Whatever happens, we'll still figure it out. We'll do our best.

[So many things on her mind lately. It's starting to get a bit crowded in her thoughts.]

We should be glad, really. We went there and did all that, and no one was hurt.
