[The PCD is turned on as it is tossed onto Rei's bedside table with a resounding thunk. The girl doesn't appear all that happy and her eyes look suspiciously bright, but her hair shields her face as she bends down to scoop up whatever had fallen out of her bag.]

-- stupid -- immature -- why did I even --

[And Rei tosses her bag onto her bed before she pauses in her tirade. Her eyes suddenly grow wide and her breath catches in her throat.

She crosses to the bed and reaches out to the bed, fingers curling around an object. When it's lifted to eye-level, it's shown to be her Mars Crystal Power transformation wand.

The last time it appeared in Adstringendum, it had been during the canon update/backdate event. When she had been given a rush of new memories, when Hitsugaya had lost his limbs, and when Hino Rei and Tsukino Usagi died.

She turns to the PCD to grab it before noticing it's already on. A muscle in her cheek twitches before she exhales slowly, resting her new transformation wand against her cheek, closing her eyes to think before she speaks.]

... Toushirou, you haven't done anything dumb, have you? And girls, have you gotten anything?

Something like that. They just didn't have the means to keep me and Al engaged. It was boring. Boooorrrring.

The princess brought me back with the ginshizou. It's a crystal that has amazing power. But there's a price with everything -- all of us that were brought back lost our memories of each other. It took awhile for them to re-awaken and rejoin as a group.

It gives the alchemist the ability to transmute without the need to follow the Law of Equivalence. For a while, Al and I thought it was the best way to return our bodies to normal.

... I don't know if the ginshizou could do that, but it sounds pretty similar. Usagi-chan has healed people back to normal and brought people back to life with it, but it almost kills her to do it.

The use of the Philosopher's Stone would nix the sacrifice needed to perform such things. If Usagi could use it, she wouldn't become ill herself when she healed.

In order to create a Philosopher's Stone, humans are sacrificed and their souls become the energy for it. Al and I couldn't use people to solve our problems when it wasn't their fault we got into this mess.

He does, but Al--This Al-- is from an alternate world very similar to mine. He's my brother, but not the one from my world. The way he got his body back is in a different way than how my Alphonse will.
