[She absolutely doesn't believe, would never believe, Rei would cheat. And so, Rei definitely didn't do anything wrong.]

[The aftershock of the event was horrifically strenuous on Hitsugaya and Rei, mainly because... well, what do you do with that? That much emotion and anger and love pumped into one week would addle anyone's minds. And Rei is fairly certain they're okay now -- he didn't drown himself or anything, which Rei supposes is a positive sign... but it still hurt.

So Rei makes the tiniest huff of annoyance as she rolls her eyes to the ceiling.]

[No; if a man loves Rei, he needs to trust her to the end. That's always been so important to her, and that's why Usagi feels so keenly for Rei over the situation.]

[She doesn't really know. She's not... angry anymore, now that she has that off of her chest, but Rei doesn't know what to do beyond that.]

[That is a bottom line she refuses to give up.]

[The truth is, she admires that resolve. She knows she lacks it herself - if the situation happened with Mamoru, Usagi is the type who'd take the blame on herself and apologize and probably stop seeing that friend.

And she shouldn't be.]

Rei closes her eyes to exhale slowly.]

...Toushirou told me, when I found him after the event was over... that I was a woman of the highest caliber and to never let anyone tell me anything different. Not even him.

He is right. But Rei-chan, that doesn't mean you and Cloud can't come to understand each other again, either.

If he can't trust me around Toushirou, Usagi, then he doesn't understand me.

I guess that's true, too.

[Because not to trust Rei or to call her disloyal is to not understand who she is, that endless loyalty as strong as Usagi's endless love.]

But Rei-chan! It's... it's still because of his memories. He doesn't remember. He's been told you're his girlfriend, but he has to know you again! Like I did with Mamo-chan.

I've been trying.

[And she has, with endless effort.]

I know, Rei-chan. And it's hard. But, hang in a little longer? Until he can remember? Then you guys can figure things out.

But she's totally serious about her expectations regarding Hitsugaya. She stoutly refuses to drop him over something so incredibly ridiculous.]
