[In all honesty, he's not even really worried that something will go wrong. Sure, they might not work; that's always a possibility. But he doubts Szayel would purposely try to harm Hino in this way. After that cursed event, he doubts Szayel would try to harm Hino at all. He doesn't want to accept it though. Because of who he is, because of what he says, because of everything he does.

It's not fine. Not even close. But he can't argue against it. And that's part of the reason it's not fine.]
