Now that we're all better acquainted --

Does anyone have anything for a headache?

[No, she isn't particularly happy that people went inside her head, because after a week of her subconscious being prodded at, she feels like she wants to hit her head against the wall. Repeatedly.

No, she really isn't happy that Lucifer and Rhode decided to take five people for a joyride for a stupid ritual that was doomed to fail anyway.

She's spectacularly not happy that Rhode is dead because of it, because now half of Adstringendum is danger.

Also, no, she does not sound like she has a cold, shut up.]

How effective is it?

[Raven frowns a bit at the question but then realizes you can't see her.] I wouldn't have mentioned it if it wasn't effective, Rei. [Yes, she's a bit edgy today. Her reasons being pretty much the same as Rei's.]

...The effect is quasi immediate and lasts for 3-4 hours depending on the your metabolism.

I didn't ask if it was effective, I asked how effective was it.

[But she sighs.]

[And Rei clicks her PCD off.

She looks a lot paler than she normally does -- the slightest hint of a pink nose -- maybe the odd sniffle. But she doesn't say anything about it once she meets up with Raven.]

[As soon as Raven senses Rei approaching she just leans against the nearest wall and waits for her to close the remaining distance between them.]

Rei.

[She greets her with a nod, before eyeing her quizzically.]

You're sick.

[Not a question, merely an observation.]

[No. She isn't. Shut up.]

I'm fine.

[If she had been given one dollar each time someone, who's obviously not fine, told her that since she arrived here...]

[Raven doesn't retort anything. Instead she just pulls a small phial out from under her cloak and hands it to Rei.]

You can take two drops every four hours, until you feel better or until the phial is empty. Whichever will come first.

Two drops, preferably diluted into hot water since it tastes quite bitter. Three drops will make you drowsy and four will make you sleep.

[Rei would be a millionaire off of Hitsugaya alone.]

You were right. Rhode was killed after all.

[She sounds positively irritable over the fact, because now, Tyki Mikk is going to be on the prowl, looking for blood.

And you know who public enemy number one is going to be?

The stupid shinigami captain who probably delivered the final blow.

Or so Rei thinks. She underestimates Tyki's need to kill Lucifer.]

Well I had hoped we'd be able to avoid that.

The only one who deserves to die is Lucifer. Assuming he actually can die.

[Lucifer has made it his business to follow Rei around.]

[A heavy sigh.] You really wanna talk about this now?

You know... Hitsugaya once suggested I should ask you to look into my future for me. I think I just might. And if I do, I'm pretty sure all your questions on what I know about the Devil will be answered.

[Half a smile.]

[But then a pause... and Rei shakes her head 'no'.]

[A nod. Hitsugaya told her he would. Because the shinigami knows how much Lucifer likes taunting Raven and giving her very personalized birthday gifts.]

Well I have and I don't recommend that tour.

[Her voice is sarcastic enough. And did she ever tell you Lucifer was her father over that family bonding event?]

Has he been in yours?

No. I would have known.

[If he had pressed far enough, which Lucifer almost certainly would have.]

But he's taken an interest in me.

Ah. [She almost says "You too?" but she's not really in the mood for jokes.] Do you know why exactly?

Dark beings tend to like testing my patience once they figure out I can feel them coming.

[Szayel used to, before Rei befriended him. The Noah, to a certain extent, although Rei is extraordinarily conflicted over how she feels over them.]

Is that all? Because I would have thought Lucifer at least had more serious motives to stalk people. But maybe I'm just giving him too much credit...

There are a lot of dark beings around here... [And she's not even including herself in the lot.] So I guess you never get lonely.

The Hollows keep me entertained enough.

[It's said warmly, though -- she's fond of them both.]
