[She'll just be there, sitting up, posture perfect. Slouching hurts her ribs. She's scrolling through things on her PCD, fingers moving quickly as she texts back and forth with someone or other.]

[He'd take care of those ribs if she wasn't so stubborn and would just, you know, ask him to do so.

But he arrives a few moments later, shutting the door behind him tightly, PCD in his hand, one corner carrying what appears to be a scorched mark, and a picnic basket in the other.

No comments about his new clothes either. :|]

[She wants to feel the pain of recovery. It was her stupid decision -- she should suffer the consequences of it. But she glances over at the door, once he enters, and smiles a little thinly.]

[And sitting the basket down next to you.]

I brought dinner to you this time.

[Rei is anything but hungry, but she smiles a little at the basket all the same.]

I had to cook anyway.

[He has a puppy to feed.]

Usagi will be happy for the food.

[Michiru has to cook for them now that Rei is in a bed. Under threat of punishment.]

[He sighs lightly, before reaching forward and putting a hand on her shoulder.]

[She glances at the hand on her shoulder, but doesn't react otherwise.]

[Well good, she'll notice as it moves downwards.]

[Rei catches his hand lightly.]

[He lets the movement happen. He had been expecting it, after all.]

[She drops his hand and looks away, out the window.]

[Welp. Now that she's distracted, he'll just sneak his other hand in there, pressing it against her ribs and letting the soft green light emit from his palm.

And that is what it feels like to be played twice in one night. You can kick his ass when he's done healing you.]

[She stiffens as soon as she feels the rib and immediately twists her body backwards, shoving his hand away, before wrapping an arm around her ribs with a hiss.]

[The glow dissipates, but he's pretty sure he got some healing in before she realized what he was doing, so it wasn't an entirely lost cause.]

[Her arms are wrapped around her midsection and her breathing is ragged, but she keeps her voice steady.]

I don't care if you think I'm being stupid or not. When I say no, it means no.

[He could just cast Esuna and be done with it. But he didn't.]

[She stares for a long moment before she looks down.]
