52 [Accidental Video]
[There's a series of slammed doors, when the PCD turns on -- anyone who has been inside of it will recognize the Temple of Heaven -- and anyone who pays attention will see that the reason for the slammed doors is quickly approaching the device.
Rei is opening doors, looking inside rooms, and slamming them shut.
Over. And over. And over. And over. And over.
It's a large temple, after all. There are a lot of rooms to look through.
But once Rei has reached the final door, the one closest to the PCD, she is breathless, her fingers are trembling, and she yanks it open with much more force than absolutely necessary. The door slams into the adjacent wall and the PCD manages to look inside it, quickly -- an empty, unused room -- before Rei slams the door shut so hard that the wall shakes.]
Damn it --
[It's choked through a sob as she turns away from the PCD, her shoulders trembling, as she struggles to get ahold of herself. The trembling soon turns into full out shaking and Rei turns, her back hitting the wall, so she can sink to the floor, her hands burying themselves in her hair as she cries.
Sometimes, it's just one last straw to finally break the camel's back.]

Whatever, part of him wants to say. He doesn't want to show up and have Rei "comfort" him. But he does show up. He can't say why.
He'll be on the doorstep within the hour, leaning on the frame and trying to figure out where Rei is.]

But, as Rei always does, she doesn't mention it.]
-- Kotarou.

[He says it so suddenly, so heartfelt.]

Her mouth drops open, slightly, to assure Kotarou that she's completely fine. He's a kid, after all -- and he loved Usagi, so much, and Rei can pull it together to be strong for someone, just for a few more minutes, right -- ?
But a tear leaks out, before she can stop it, and Rei brushes it aside hurriedly.]
I'm not crying.
[It's muttered, and a complete and utter lie, but Rei has to say it.]
[Offline] 1/2 AS IT SHOULD BE.
[He bursts out and points at her.]
You're-

... you're cryin'.

And then, she's on her knees to hug Kotarou as tightly as she possibly can.
She's trembling with the effort to keep it together.]

Then, he wraps his arms around her, holding her to him. He shuts his eyes and holds her. His voice only barely manages not to break.]
S'okay.
It's okay.
[Offline]
Her job is to protect. Kotarou needs that, right now, at this moment.]
She'll be fine.
[Offline]
... yeah. S'prolly gonna come wanderin' back in a couple weeks, sayin' she was lost.

[The tiniest flicker of a smile.]
Help me make them.

Okay, sure.
