66 [Accidental Video] 12:01 AM.
[The room is dark, for the most part, save for a flickering candle on the bureau within Hino Rei's room. The girl is standing in front of the dresser, her hands pressed against it, as she stares into her mirror.]

[And Rei closes her eyes, along with the hiss. Her fingers press into the wood of the bureau as she focuses. She tilts her head, her brow furrows, and her shoulders shudder with the sheer effort of whatever she is trying to do --
But nothing happens.
Her eyes snap open as she stares into the flame of the candle, but the more she stares, the more frustrated Rei seems to become. Eventually, she shoves the candle aside -- it nearly tips over, until Rei catches it instinctively --
And she drops it with a surprised yelp of pain as it burns her.
Hino Rei hasn't been burned since the senshi of Mars awoke within her.
She stares at her hand as if it weren't there anymore and her expression slowly begins to change from a confused frustration to sheer fear as she whispers to herself.]
What did they do to me?

[She bites down on her tongue, because getting into a shouting match with Gabriel is not going to help her panic. Or her sudden vertigo or lack of -- lack of everything -- she feels as if they took away her sense of touch again.]
They said they were getting something ready before I even spoke to them. This must be what they were talking about -- they said it was going to take longer in the message -- tch!
[She feels like an idiot -- and the burn hurts, cxghsdg]

[She is beyond furious. And her hand hurts, goddammit.]

No matter how terrified she is and how badly she wants her powers back, going to go get them is a stupid decision. It would get them both killed.]

[And for her to admit that she is freaking out? Her pride. 8| But Rei heaves a sigh, somewhat... calmer. It's easier to focus on someone else's panic rather than her own. Even if it does feel like a part of her soul is missing.]
... going into that City by yourself with no powers is only going to get you killed. You won't be able to get past the first line of defense.

[It's a quiet correction, and Rei closes her eyes, in vain, to search around inside of herself for that familiar warmth. It isn't there, obviously.]
I was born with my abilities. And as for Mars -- It's always been a part of me. It just needed to be woken back up.
[She opens an eye to look at him again, before she blinks her eyes open again, looking tired.]
Half of my soul is missing. I'm pretty sure I get it.

She cringes to herself -- because she can already predict that Gabriel is going to make fun of her for the advice -- but manages a flat look all the same.]
You're still Gabriel, even without your grace. Just because you can't fly or create new worlds at your fingertips doesn't mean that you aren't still you.

The city is protected by giant robot dinosaurs that try to kill you as soon as you go inside. I only survived because I had my powers and backup to get me out once I got in too far.
So unless you want to become bait for the next Jurassic Park movie, I'd stay away from it.
