70 [Accidental Video]
[The PCD turns on to show an empty hallway of the Temple to Heaven, quiet and calm and free of disturbance. It’s swinging lightly, back and forth -- Rei is holding it as she walks down the halls, quiet and peaceful -- but she pauses, at a slightly open door, and her expression is curious as she pokes the door open with a slight nudge of her foot.
And then, the PCD falls to the floor, to show the inside of the room, which is covered in what appears to be bloody symbols along the walls.]
What are you doing -- ?!
[Castiel is inside the room, focused on the task at hand, fingerpainting across the walls in what is indeed blood. He's cut open a wide gash on his arm to do so, but it doesn't seem to be bothering him.]
Warding. They need to be redone every so often; these in particular are over a month old and will lose effectiveness due to simple wear.
What did you do to your arm?
[The PCD is kicked a little into the room as Rei enters the room, but she pauses before she looks at Castiel’s injury to look around the room at the freshly warded room, mouth slightly open in shock at all of the handiwork --
-- before she snaps her attention back to his arm.]
-- Cas, you can’t just draw on the walls in blood, are you insane, use ink!
[He glances around the room as she does, before looking back at her and giving her an incredulous expression]
We don’t have that much ink, and you need it for talismans. And, regardless, it is more effective if done in blood.
We can make more ink and you can’t replenish your blood that quickly anymore, idiot --
[And Rei grabs at his wrist to pull his arm towards her, to see how deep the cut actually is.]
You’re dripping blood all over the floor.
[He lets her pull him toward her without protest, other than a sigh. He’s a little irritated at her overprotectiveness, as he doesn’t need it. He might be mortal now, but he could still ward a room.]
I’m fine. And blood is imprecise; it is going to get on the floor.
I know it’s going to get on the floor.
[It’s said snappishly -- because, hello, Rei is not stupid, thank you very much. But after she examines it to ensure that Castiel didn’t cut himself all that deeply -- … no, she still doesn’t look all that satisfied.]
Is all of this in your blood? Seriously? Did they not give you paint in Heaven or what?
[He is actually being careful for the most part, and hasn’t overdone it yet, despite the multitude of sigils across the the walls. At her questions, he looks at her once more, and gives a completely deadpan response.]
Most of it is mine. The rest belonged to the cat.
[Who said he couldn’t use sarcasm?]
[There is a long moment of staring before Rei’s hand shoots out to smack Castiel soundly upside the head. The sound is delightfully loud -- pity him, Adstringendum.]
That’s not funny! Don’t use my cat for some weird angel --
[But you don’t get to hear the rest of the argument. Rei has stepped on the PCD in her fight to teach Castiel a lesson, which severs the feed.]

-=He holds up the bag.=-
Tea?
offline
He nods slightly at the question, leaning back against a counter. He is tired, after the bloodloss; maybe the tea will help.]
What is it made from?
offline
Unohana helped me learn the human names. But it is a tea that Shai and Sha'hira made for others who speak to blood.
Anise seed, blue violet, Burdock root, Dandelion root, Fennel, Licorice root, Red clover, and Yellow dock root. It is not complete like it would be in the mountain, but it is enough.
-=He looks warily at the stove.=- I do not know how to use this.
offline
I will light it.
[He retrieves a pack of matches, and carefully lights one of the burners.]
offline
I have fire in my home, but it does not come from a metal box. There is food here, too?
-=Tea and a meal was important.=-
offline
[At the question about food, he begins to glance around. There is food here, but he usually waits for Rei to feed him instead of getting it himself, mostly due to managing to injure himself whenever he attempts to cook.
He does eventually locate some fruit, though, setting it on the table.]
offline
-=He sees that Castiel's found something and when he sets it on the table, Hawke pushes it gently towards him.=-
Eat.
offline
Do you make a fire inside?
[Because that sounds like a bad idea, and so he doubts Hawke did. Then again, going outside every time he wanted to make tea also seemed inconvenient, so he isn't sure.]
offline
Yes I do. -=He thinks these stoves are more dangerous.=- I keep a fire burning, sometimes in the hearth. When it is cold outside.
offline
That would be very warm in the summer.
offline
The tea will be ready soon.
offline
It doesn't take long.
offline
Most other medicines take time to steep. This is meant to steep quickly because the person who needs it needs their fluid replaced quickly.
offline
Aside from this particular one, do you have other medicinal teas?
offline
offline
offline
Are they difficult to make?
offline
offline
Thank you, for this.
[He rarely thanks anyone, but he feels he should, here.]
offline
It it my honor to help.
offline
But he also has no idea what to say now, just sort of sipping tea awkwardly.]
offline
Brew this amount-- -=He pours a measured amount in his hand=- Once a day and drink it all day. Eat well. Find me if you still feel tired after four suns and you have not used your magic between. -=He pours the tea leaves back into the bag and sets it on the table as he gets ready to leave.=-
offline
He nods at the instructions, taking careful mental note of them, and intending to actual follow them for once.]
I will.
[And he nods slightly in farewell.]
