43 [Accidental Video]
[The PCD is thrown, tossed aside, and it catches the last moments of Hino Rei's transformation into Sailor Mars. The flames and fire fall away to reveal the senshi of passion and war, her gloved fingers curled into fists as she stares, trembling with unreleased fury, at a large boulder, far in the distance.
Fire engulfs her hand as she reaches up to pull back her bow.]
Mars Flame Sniper!
[The arrow rockets from her fingers and, in the distance, a burst of flame -- it has hit its mark.
Without hesitation, Mars goes again.]
Mars Flame Sniper!
[Again, the arrow hits, and again, fire spreads from Mars' fingertips.]
Mars Flame Sniper!
[The boulder is now no longer there -- demolished during the second round of attack -- but the senshi doesn't seem to care.
She's beginning to grow winded, but snarls out the command regardless, the bow forming brighter than before -- ]
Mars -- Flame -- Sniper!
[The arrow flies from her fingertips, but the aim is off -- it sinks into the ground, skidding along the snow, creating a near tidal-wave of steam and water as the flames melt the ice. She stumbles backwards, her legs quivering with the effort, before she sinks to her knees in the snow, her fingers digging into the ground as she, finally, allows herself to cry.]
ooc: Cloud lost his memories, which makes for a seriously upset Sailor Mars.

Then what are you worried about?
[offline]
I don't even know. Everything and nothing.
[She rubs her eyes with a gloved hand, only now embarrassed at the display.]
I'm afraid of this place and I hate it.
[offline]
[It's like something Kurosaki would say. Or dare he say it, Uzumaki. But sometimes a situation just calls for that ridiculous, blunt logic that can't be argued with no matter how much a person shoves common sense into its face.]
[offline]
Her lips twitch for the barest second before she snorts into laughter.]
Right.
[offline]
Are you finished then, or do you need more time to reshape the landscape?
[offline]
At least Usagi is here. If she weren't here, it would be so, so, so much worse.]
I don't know yet. Want to help me?
[offline]
It couldn't hurt.
[offline]
[offline]
[Spoken in all seriousness.]
[offline]
[offline]
You're still going to blow them up.
[offline]
One or two, maybe, but that isn't what they're there for.

[But if you insist. Ladies first and all that. Mars looks a little irritated with the scorch mark on the ground -- her aim is normally flawless -- but that tree in the distance could be charcoal.
So she lets it fly with a soft exhale, after the barest moment of aim.
It isn't with the same desperation as before -- whatever anger that had been there is now gone with her outburst.]
[offline]
But despite his irritation, once she fires the arrow, he holds up his right hand, index finger pointing at another helpless tree.]
Hadou 4: Byakurai.
[offline]
She steps backwards involuntarily at the display, blinking at the burst of energy.
Mars is now successfully distracted.]
-- that's only number four?
[offline]
Her surprise doesn't faze him.]
The more powerful the caster, the more powerful the kidou. Of course a captain-level hadou would be that powerful.
[offline]
... mission failed.]
Right, of course it would be.
[offline]
[offline]
It should be people with common sense instead.
[Another arrow, another tree.]
[offline]
You need both, but you never have both.
[No hadou spell this time. Let her release some of that frustration first.]
[offline]
[She has an ofuda this time, in her palm -- she hasn't let the phoenix out in awhile.]
Beryl -- was the most powerful woman in the universe, so she said.
[Flames form and slam into the ofuda, the phoenix taking shape as it rocketed forward with a screech.]
Smart, clever, powerful -- but let herself become overcome with Metalia because she wanted too much, like an idiot.
[offline]
...How much is too much?
[offline]
[Without hesitation and with complete and utter conviction. She has seen enemies transformed into monsters because of greed, power, ignorance, simply because they wanted more.]
All of the power in the world can't help you if you aren't yourself by the end of it.
[offline]
Of course.
[He decides it's his turn now and fires an identical hadou as the last, the electrical blast powering through toward their targets.]
