[There's a soft 'thump' and a spray of white as Rei drops backwards into the snow, her PCD falling at an odd angle. The contrast between Rei's dark hair and the white snow is pretty startingly, enough so that you can actually see it in the dark that is the Adstringendum night. She has on a coat, and a red scarf, and you can see her breath, just faintly, forming in the air, as she stares at the stars.

It's been a long week. Sometimes, all you need is a few minutes just to relax.]

ooc; She's outside of the Temple grounds, so feel free to go see her offline if your character is a fellow night owl. :)

You have to lay in the snow to find out.

[...But.

He just stands there for another few minutes, mentally warring with himself, before slowly lowering himself down into the snow next to her. So cold. And wet. What was he thinking?]

Fine.

[She lets him battle it out with himself, content to just lay there while he did so, because she knew he would inevitably give in to her demands. When he did, Rei snorts to herself softly, before pushing herself up to sitting, the snow clinging to her hair.]

Okay. So -- you have to move your arms and legs together and apart. Like this.

[And Rei slowly moves her arms and legs to show him.]

In the snow. Don't lift them or you'll ruin it and I'll make you do it over.

[Castiel watches her with a great look of incredulity, but otherwise does nothing.]

What does this have to do with angels?

You won't find out unless you try it. It's a visual thing.

[And Rei prods his shoulder.]

Come on, make with the moving, you'll just get colder if you sit still.

[He sighs, breath fogging in the air dramatically, before very awkwardly attempting to do as she'd instructed.

It's the least graceful thing in the world.]

[She's trying really hard not to laugh at him, and for the most part, she succeeds.

It occurs to her that angels could probably make their own versions of snow angels if they just stretched out their wings to press into the snow -- and while Castiel couldn't prove it for her, she could make Gabriel do so. His wings were probably bigger anyway. Archangel status and all. -- but she refocused her attention on the important part, which was making Castiel look ridiculous.]

Wings aren't going to be big enough.

[At that comment, Castiel stopped moving so scowl at her.]

That is because my arms are not as long as my wings would be. Which is fortunate as it would be an extreme malformation should they be so.

I'm telling you, it'll make sense once you keep moving. You need to move your arms in a wider arc -- that's what I meant.

[Stop sulking and being a bitch. 8|]

[NEVER. But fine, he eventually does as he's told, beginning to move his arms again in a wider arc.]

How long?

Until I say stop.

[And then, two seconds later -- ]

Alright, stop. Now --

[And Rei pushes herself up, dusting herself off quickly, before offering her hands to pull him up.]

You have to be careful to not disturb the snow you just pushed around.

[He stops, gingerly attempting not to disrupt the snow as she'd instructed, letting her pull him up. Turning slightly to look at the imprint, he tilts his head to the side, squinting at it.]

That only barely approaches resemblance to an angel.

You're the one who made it, not me.

[She looks amused, though, as she dusts the snow off of his coat.]

I'm sorry the trenchcoat doesn't look as noticeable. That'd sell it.

Then make one yourself. I presume it would look no more like an angel than mine.

[So there, Rei. And hey, don't make fun of the coat.]

I made one yesterday. It looked fantastic, thanks for asking.

[Somewhat flippantly, though she grins a little.]

Consider this an essential human experience that you've now completed.

[Just as flippantly, and a pause.]

Is it really that essential?
