82 [Accidental Video]

[There's a soft 'thump' and a spray of white as Rei drops backwards into the snow, her PCD falling at an odd angle. The contrast between Rei's dark hair and the white snow is pretty startingly, enough so that you can actually see it in the dark that is the Adstringendum night. She has on a coat, and a red scarf, and you can see her breath, just faintly, forming in the air, as she stares at the stars.

It's been a long week. Sometimes, all you need is a few minutes just to relax.]

[Rei tilts her head back to look up at Ami, almost laughing at how bundled up she is.]

I'm fine -- I just can't sleep tonight, that's all.

[Ami smiles, her face warm in spite of the chilly night.]

I'm not worried about you, Rei-chan. I know you can take care of yourself.

[Ami brings a foot closer, shifting her weight.]

Did you want to be alone?

You can come sit if you want. There's plenty of room for two people to be cold out here.

[Wordlessly, Ami sits beside Rei, hugging her knees to her chest.]

Better to be cold than...? [Ami looks to Rei to finish the sentence.]

I can't sleep. Staring at my wall wasn't really making it any easier.

I thought I'd come out and look at the stars.

I don't really sleep well to begin with.

[Ami's brow knit with worry at Rei's admittance to lack of sleep. That wasn't good. Insomnia could very well put the girls at each-other's throats. That was another thing to put on Ami's list: find Rei a sleeping aid.]

...have you found anyplace to ski here?

[It had been a while, but Ami distinctly remembered Rei's skill with snow sports.]

[That causes Rei to blink before looking over at Ami with half a grin.]

No -- I haven't, actually. There are some mountain areas, though, out in the Wastelands... so I bet we could.

[Ami smiles warmly. With Rei being so restless, maybe she could use some recreational exercise to get out all the pent-up anxiety.]
