52 [Accidental Video]
[There's a series of slammed doors, when the PCD turns on -- anyone who has been inside of it will recognize the Temple of Heaven -- and anyone who pays attention will see that the reason for the slammed doors is quickly approaching the device.
Rei is opening doors, looking inside rooms, and slamming them shut.
Over. And over. And over. And over. And over.
It's a large temple, after all. There are a lot of rooms to look through.
But once Rei has reached the final door, the one closest to the PCD, she is breathless, her fingers are trembling, and she yanks it open with much more force than absolutely necessary. The door slams into the adjacent wall and the PCD manages to look inside it, quickly -- an empty, unused room -- before Rei slams the door shut so hard that the wall shakes.]
Damn it --
[It's choked through a sob as she turns away from the PCD, her shoulders trembling, as she struggles to get ahold of herself. The trembling soon turns into full out shaking and Rei turns, her back hitting the wall, so she can sink to the floor, her hands burying themselves in her hair as she cries.
Sometimes, it's just one last straw to finally break the camel's back.]

She's sitting on the steps, outside of the Temple, when he arrives, to save him the effort of going through the Temple to find her. It might be the slightest hint of a smile, at his appearance, because... he actually brought tomatoes.
You would think the idiot would know he could show up at four o'clock in the morning and Rei wouldn't say a word against him, but no, of course not.
She doesn't say anything, though, but she does scoot herself over, on the steps, to leave room for him.]
[offline]
He watches through half-lidded eyes as he approaches and she makes room. After closing his eyes for a moment, he makes himself comfortable two steps below the one Hino has claimed, holding the container up over his head for her to accept.]
[offline]
Thank you.
[She sets the container down next to her, carefully, but doesn't move to sit down next to Hitsguaya properly. Not yet, anyway. Instead, Rei rests her arms on her knees, leaning forward slightly, to look at the sky.]
She's going home to a war.
[It's... an idle though. Quiet, absent, free of emotion.]
I didn't tell her. Not that it would have -- done anything.
[offline]
[It's all he can ask, and he's still holding onto that silly new habit of not making eye contact. Whether through her actual experience, what the animus have shown her, or what she's seen through her abilities. Seeing what can happen seems to be one of Hino's greatest strengths.]
[offline]
[But she pauses, because that's something of a lie, and she glances towards him before refocusing her attentions on the sky.]
-- I know my outcome. Or, at least, part of it. I don't know what happens to her.
[offline]
You could try.
[offline]
[It's a murmur -- she rests her chin on her arms.]
I only get what happens to me.
[She tried once or twice past that. Seeing your own death isn't pleasant the first go-around. Anything after that is just unnecessary.]
[offline]
[What to say to that?]
Then it's something they don't want you to see, which means it's likely in your favor.
[He has no idea what it means, doesn't understand how the animus operate or how Hino's powers really work, but it's the best he can come up with, even if he doesn't believe a word of it.]
[offline]
Maybe.
[She pauses, for a minute more, before she pushes herself down the two steps to sit next to him properly. She re-assumes her previous position, to rest her chin on her knees.
It's a long moment before Rei speaks again, and her eyes are fixated on the sky instead of on her friend.]
-- Don't leave, anytime soon.
[offline]
After having been told something similar in the past, he couldn't answer, refused to do so because he refused to break a promise like that. Now... Now he wants to stay. He wants to stay just as much as he wants to leave, and he still doesn't like promises like that because no matter whether he agrees or doesn't, he can't win.
As of now though, he's come to realize that sometimes he has no choice but to let go of a few of his dislikes for the sake of making sure the people around him don't drown in the overwhelming emotion.]
I don't plan to.
[offline]
To be fair, Rei hadn't broken her promise. She was still stuck here. It's Usagi that the Animus decided to take away. Along with Makoto, Minako, Hotaru, Chibiusa, Mamoru -- Cloud --
If Hitsugaya vanishes, on top of all of that, Rei may very well go to the Animus themselves to get him back.]
... good.
[And then, half a laugh, but it's not really a happy one.]
Because I'd come find you and I don't think your world is ready.
[offline]
[A short pause as he contemplates that advice.]
Avoid most of them.
[offline]
Rei is fairly certain they would kill each other within two days.]
Why?
[offline]
Kyouraku-taichou is a lecher.
[Well, no. Okay. That's really all he needs to explain the Eighth Division.]
The First, Second, and Sixth divisions are more likely to arrest you than to assist you. The Fourth Division will be crowded with oppressed members of the Eleventh Division. The Eleventh Division compound will be crowded with unoppressed members of the Eleventh Division. Kurotsuchi runs the Twelfth Division.
[offline]
[At least she sounds amused, now, instead of hollow.]
I'm betting they all say the same thing about yours.
[offline]
[Okay, that was a small exaggeration. Zaraki just wanted a fight. But for Zaraki, fights usually did lead to mass extinction.]
[offline]
[Even Rei can tell you're just being a brat.
... or she hopes you're just being a brat.]
[offline]
[Unrepentant.]

[She blows her bangs out of her face with a huff.]
I'm glad I don't have to deal with other groups of senshi. -- well, we do. [As an afterthought.] But I haven't met them yet, not really.

[Yeah. Yeah, that just happened.]
[offline] AHAHAHA okay that's not funny but it kind of is 1/2
